Fruits of Our Labors!!

There is this great little island down the street from us called Sauvie Island. There are quite a few farms that you can pay and pick veggies & fruit. About two weeks ago we went over on a Saturday to pick blueberries and this is what we ended up with ........ I forgot to take my camera with us, so this was after we got home. They also had cabbage, flowers, herbs and corn, but we really only wanted the fruit and the corn wasn't ready yet. It all tasted so wonderful and it is so nice having fresh fruit around the corner from us.

Kamaile--- You make me want to come right back. those peaches remind me of when we used to go to my Souza cousins mini farm in So.
El Monte and play in the orchard and eat the most wonderful peaches. I'm so happy for your little family and sad for us. So are you drying, canning or sealing them up for food storage? Great opportunity. I'm so glad it's cooled off for you especially since they don't do AC in them thar woods. Love u 1 & all. Mom.

I'm so jealous! I guess with all those berries, you're going to be sending me some homemade jam?

I wish I knew how to can and make jam, but then again, we ate everything so fast there was really nothing left to do anything with. I think we got a little excited with our fresh fruit.

Gray Ronk, How are you? This is Casey Gibb (now Van Buskirk). do you even remember me? Anyway, my sister stumbled on to your blog and sent it on to me. Your wife and daughter are DARLING. It's great to find old friends. We love the blogging world. It looks like you are in Oregon now and loving it. Karryn (Jarrett) Anderson is up there also in Oregon. HOpe to here from you. I'll be checking out your blog time and again. What fun.

LOL, another long-lost friend of Gray poking in her nose. This is Colleen Clemens. Kamaile, congratulations on marrying Gray! Congratulations on having your first baby together! I am deeply sorry that we lost touch for all these years and didn't even know about the wedding, the baby (who is adorable) or pretty much anything. Whether you want it or not, I'll be bookmarking your blog to keep in touch from now on.
